suburban in lafayette The extensive remodel of an existing house in Lafayette hills consisting of completely new kitchen, dining area, media room and living room. New modern kitchen was designed with custom wenge cabinets and stainless steel “tech” wall with built-in appliances. Dark wenge cabinets were suspended on stainless steel legs and are in contrast to light travertine floor. All base cabinets were designed as drawers including hidden drawer dishwashers placed at both sides of the sink. New elongated horizontal window frames kitchen view towards the hills. Main entrance and front elevation was also remodeled with new ipe wood and aluminum front door and modern dynamic canopy accentuating simple box of the house. Etched glass balustrade is frameless and set into concrete and slate deck with invisible hardware to emphasize clean and minimal look of new elements and to sharpen the appearance of the existing house.
