When I was thirteen, I decided to become an architect, ten years later, I have graduated from Polytechnic School in Gdansk, Poland, with a Master’s Degree in Architecture. Bored by the lack of opportunities and always restless, I decided to move and after a brief stay in Italy, I settled down in San Francisco Bay Area. Since then, I have worked on retail projects, designed office interiors and residential projects of many shapes. After all those years what I enjoy the most is working on ultimately engaging - private homes, including never ending work on my own house for the most discriminating client – myself. Responding to different client’s styles is part of the game, but I feel at best designing thoroughly modern, open and light spaces. Experience in interior design as well as in architecture, including ventures into landscaping, furniture and graphic design allows me to treat every project in holistic way and to create a seamless design for less. Thinking “outside of the box” and a relentless search for the best solutions invariably draws you, the client, into the adventure of the design process – always a necessary component of success. Although I often wake up at night solving design puzzles, I do have other interests; mountain and road biking around Bay Area; reading books (from Tolstoy to Marukami) and planning summer trips to unknown yet places.
