minimalist sub-urban in woodside  Conceptual design for a new house to be built on a wooded site in Woodside overlooking a picturesque creek. Entire house is designed as one story with the exception of viewing deck on the roof and follows the topography of the site along the creek bank. The living areas have high ceilings and create visual mass on the outside. The master and guest suites are detached from the body of the main house and linked by narrow corridors - the space in-between creates small private gardens. The intended result is to create modern but rustic house with natural materials used in new context.
